Here we are with the latest ratings chart
1 The X-Factor (Sun, ITV1)
The fact that these Sunday results show are the highest rated shows of the week seems to suggest that if the results were announced on Saturday then the ratings would still be tip top.
3 I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here (Sun, ITV1)
It’s a testament to this year’s cast that this year’s I’m a Celeb is drawing crowds of well over 7 million each night with Sunday’s show in particular drawing 8.5 however since Pat Sharp has left I don’t know how long this figure will be sustained.
4 Frozen Planet (Wed, BBC1)
Staying at number four is this brilliant documentary series and it seems despite the cold weather folks are still willing to watch the soundbound adventures at both poles of the world.
5 Merlin (Sat, BBC1)
Another strong showing for Merlin despite being up against The X-Factor I’m guessing the audience here is mainly made up of people who want something a bit more substantial than singing on their Saturday nights.
6 Harry Hill’s Tv Burp (Sat, ITV1)
A massive jump in ratings this week for Harry Hill for no apparent reason other than this man is a comic genius.
7 Death in Paradise (Tue, BBC1)
As Frozen Planet is still drawing in the crowds for a cold climate at least there’s some sunny escapism around with Ben Miller’s quaint tropical-set murder mystery show.
9 [Re] Have I Got News For You (Fri, BBC1)
After a week’s break due to Children in Need, the biggest and best satirical news quiz is back in the Top 10 this week hosted by Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens
10 The Cube (Sun, ITV1)
Rounding off the list in a week in which ITV has mainly concentrated on the jungle and the football field is Philip Schofield and his ever-popular game show featuring the female Stig and a lot of hard challenges.
