TV Ratings Chart Top Ten: Week Ending 09/12/11

More ratings goodness with reality show reigning once again at the top of the charts

1 [1] The X-Factor (Sun, ITV1)
Once again X-Factor trumps all other shows with its results show despite the Saturday show getting below par ratings once again.

2 [2] Strictly Come Dancing (Sun, BBC1)
Strictly got the moral victory once again winning Saturday night but losing the battle of the results shows. In fact unlike X-Factor almost the same amount of people watching the results show also watched Saturday night which means they care more about watching the whole performances than they do with X-Factor.

3 [3] I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! (Sat, ITV1)
An inevitable third place for the final installment of this year’s jungle fever and as you saw above, Dougie’s win.

4 [5] Frozen Planet (Wed, BBC1)
Back on form in the ratings this week, Attenborough’s Frozen Planet’s penultimate episode got the viewers in to watch the amazing wildlife from both poles.

5 [New] Without You (Thur, ITV1)
WITHOUT YOU 001 TV Ratings Chart Top Ten: Week Ending 09/12/11
As you will read in my review below I wasn’t a fan of this new Anna Friel drama despite Friel herself putting in a fine performance but then it intrigued over six million people but I think that number will drop in the next two weeks.

6 [4] Merlin (Sat, BBC1)
A new drama means that Merlin drops down a couple of places in this week’s chart but don’t worry kids it’s still immensley popular.

7 [8] Have I Got News For You? (Fri, BBC1)
Reliable guest stars Gyles Brandreth and Kirsty Young meant that HIGNFY climbs one place this week.

8 [9] Death in Paradise (Tue, BBC1)
Ben Miller’s comedy drama has been jumping around the chart since it’s inception and the penultimate episode jumps one place again.

9 [7] Harry Hill’s TV Burp (Sat, ITV1)
A compilation episode but an episode nonetheless it seems people are still crazy for Hill but it’s still unsure whether he will return for a new series next year.

10 [Re] The Cube (Sun, ITV1)
And a bit of a re-entry for Phil Schofield once again the BAFTA winning gameshow proves incredibly popular every week and here it is once again in our Top 10.

More ratings at the same time next week.
