Ratings Chart: Week Ending 15/02/13

Back once again with your weekly ratings chart countdown.

1 [1] Call the Midwife (Sun, BBC1)
Halfway through this season of Call the Midwife and still nothing has changed apart from maybe the tone of the show which has gotten a lot darker.

2 [3] Death in Paradise (Tues, BBC1)
Ben Miller is slowly climbing up the charts here with his Caribbean adventures providing the perfect antithesis for this horrible weather we’re having.

3 [7] Lewis (Mon, ITV)
The Morse spin-off goes off on a high with the final ever episode pulling in the best viewing figures of this series and I bet ITV are sorry to see this ratings winner go.

4 [9] Mr Selfridge (Sun, ITV)
As the BAFTAs replaced Ripper Street on BBC1 it appears as if a lot more people have been tempted into checking out the department store drama despite it now being fairly lacklustre.

5 [5] Dancing on Ice (Sun, ITV)
It appears as if Dancing on Ice is no longer the ratings winner it once was however this series, which hasn’t provided much noteworthy press, is still attracting a steady number of viewers despite this.

6 [New] Penguin – Spy in the Huddle (Mon, BBC1)
Wildlife shows always bring in viewers and with Africa gone it seems that this penguin programme charmed the nation on Monday night.

7 [New] Britain’s Brightest (Sat, BBC1)
With Splash no longer providing any competition this Claire Balding fronted Krypton Factor-lite went out on a high with its final episode getting the best viewing figures of its entire ru.

8 [New] All Star Family Fortunes (Sun, ITV)
As well as Mr Selfridge benefiting from The BAFTAs being on it appears as if Vernon Kay’s game show has also profited from viewers deciding to stick with ITV rather than watching the awards show on the other side.

9 [New] Big Fat Gypsy Valentines (Mon, Channel 4)
uktv big fat gypsy valentine 6 Ratings Chart: Week Ending 15/02/13
It appears as if Channel 4 may be regretting their decision not to air any more gypsy-themed programming as this Valentine’s Day special did record figures for the channel and proved that the viewing public has a fascination with the gypsy culture even if I can’t quite understand it.

10 [Re] Take Me Out (Sat, ITV)
Paddy and the girls return on this week’s chart as one of them suffers a mishap when they fail to walk down the stairs properly.

More ratings same time next week.
